IRM In-Person Educational Opportunities
Short Course and Lecture Notes
Notes and handouts from past short courses and lectures:
Mossbauer mini-course by Enver Murad, June 2008
Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM) mini-course by Bruce Moskowitz, June 2008
                Reid F. Cooper, June 2006
Environmental Magnetism Workshop by Ramon Egli and Brian Carter-Stiglitz, May 2005
                Soils Case Study
                Lake Sediments Case Study
                June 2004
The IRM now offers special Visiting Fellowships for Undergraduate and Graduate Students from U.S. institutions.  Students spend an intensive 5-day period working one-on-one with IRM Staff on a project of their choice, learning how to generate, process, and interpret rock magnetic data.  See Visitor Page for more information.

The IRM typically hosts a number of undergraduate interns and other students each summer, either through the Department of Geology and Geophysics NSF-Sponsored Summer Internship Program, or informally through faculty at nearby universities or by direct arrangement with IRM faculty or staff.
