The Institute for Rock Magnetism is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art facilities and technical expertise free of charge to any interested researcher who applies and is accepted as either a Visiting Fellow or for an informal visit.
 
                                  provide access to the entire set of IRM instruments (as needed) for periods up to 10 days.  Visiting Fellowships are also eligible for reimbursement of some travel expenses.  Get more information on Visiting Fellowships here.
 
Informal Visits allow access to two or three instruments, for periods up to 3 days and are scheduled through the lab manager. Email Mike Jackson (irm@...) for more information and to arrange a visit. It is best to send a short (1 paragraph) description of what you propose to do along with dates you would be interested in visiting.
