IRM Equipment: Specifications and User Manuals

The IRM has a wide variety of equipment available for measuring magnetic properties at temperatures ranging from 10 K to 973 K (700°C). Instrument specifications and links to user manuals are below. User fees may apply. See instrument calendars for availability.

1 Maximum field depends on pole gap; measuring large samples may decrease maximum field.
2 Low-temperature VSM converts to AGFM. Only one may be used at a time.
3 While the AGFM can be used at low temperature, any benefits over the VSM in signal-to-noise ratio become smaller with decreasing temperature.
4 This magnetometer system has in-line ARM and and off-line IRM capabilities.
