The LakeShore susceptometer allows mineral identification through low-temperature crystallographic transitions, and identification and quantification of superparamagnetic populations through both frequency- and temperature-dependence of low-field susceptibility.
- Temperature range: 15 K to 325 K
- AC Field: 0 to 2000 A/m RMS
- DC Field: 0 to1500 A/m
- Frequency: 10 Hz to 10,000 Hz
- Sensitivity: 2E-8 A m^2
- Measurement time: approximately 8 hours for temperature sweeps and 3 hours for frequency sweeps.
